Craig called the meeting to order after the shoot.
Craig: Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
Dan: Brief summary of finances.
Chris Stadler: Given our financial health, and the benefits to purchasing items before year end, proposed purchasing some ammunition for use as door prizes and possibly for promotional activities in the 2010 shoot year; purchasing some firearms for auction items for 2010 state shoot; proposed purchasing some of the 2010 state shoot trophies in advance. Requested board members and shooters present to think of promotional activities to generate interest of new shooters.
All: General discussion was held with regard to merit of purchasing in advance for next year, and also some possible promotional activities.
Craig: Motion to purchase ammo. Second Chris Parsons. Motion carried.
Craig: Motion to purchase firearms. Second Chip. Motion carried.
Craig: Motion to purchase some 2010 state shoot trophies in advance. Second Dan. Motion carried.
Tim: Due to scheduling conflict for Tim Miles and Lois Lessing, in addition to shoot overlap with the End of the Trail shoot in Nevada, we may want to consider moving the 2010 shoot date up one week. This presented some scheduling issues for Dan at Ben Avery Clay Target Center, but Dan was able to work them out and move the 2010 shoot date up one week, to September 23-26, 2010 if the board approved.
Chris Stadler: Motion to move the 2010 state Shoot up one week, to September 23-26, 2010. Second Craig. Motion carried.
